KATHLEEN RAE SMITH
Obituary
Kathleen Rae Smith, 65, of Newton, was
born Dec. 15, 1950. She passed away on Wednesday (Oct. 12, 2016).
Kathleen worked as a Blood Services Coordinator for the American Red
Cross and was the President of St. Mary's Altar Society in Newton.
She always enjoyed shopping, going to estate and garage sales and
craft shows. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her
husband, Stephen Fredrick Smith; parents, John Looney and Evelyn
Sapp; and brother, J.R. "Buddy" Looney.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary
Sexton, Patricia (Billy Joe) Daniels and Connie (Calvin) Swisher;
brother, C. Michael (Cheryl) Looney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday (Oct.
16, 2016) at Resthaven Mortuary, with Mass of Christian Burial at St.
Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 2 p.m. Monday (Oct. 17, 2016).
Memorials may be made to the Robert J.
Dole VA Hospice.
