Ronald E. Bretz, 78 passed away Friday (Oct. 14, 2016). He was born in Hutchinson to Eugene and Ruth (Jones) Bretz. He attended Hutchinson High School, Wichita State University and the University of Wyoming, earning two masters degrees.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy; son Brian (Laura) Bretz; daughter Brenda (Jason) Barricklow; brother Derroll Bretz; and five grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 20, 2016) at Grace Community Church 1600 S. Anderson Road, Newton.
