Gerald J. Angood
   Gerald J. Angood, 89, of 923 N. Pine, a lifetime Newton resident and 30-year employee of Kansas Gas and Electric Co. who retired in 1996, died Saturday, Sept 21, 1991, at Newton Medical Center.
Services will be 2 p. m. Tuesday at Petersen's Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Dan Waters officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 10, 1901, in Newton, the son of Fryer J. and Catherine Jensen Angood. He married Josephine M. McDonald Nov. 9, 1929, in Wichita. She died July 19, 1989.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Newton, the York Rite Bodies, Wichita, Newton Masonic Lodge No. 142, the Newton Bowling Association, where he served 40 years as president, and a charter member of the National Bowling Hall of Fame, in which he was inducted in 1974.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry of Pratt and Donald J. of Newton; two daughters, Anne K Braden of Pratt and Patricia Jo Angood of Newton; eight grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
Calling time is today until 9 p. m. and Tuesday until service time.
Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church or the Harvey county Hospice.
