Obituary: Kenneth (Fred) Brock
KS_Newton -- Kenneth (Fred) Brock was born on Feb. 26, 1936,
and he passed away on Sept. 25, 2012. He was born in Nappanee, Ind., to Lowell
(Tom) and Francis Ellis Brock. Fred was a truck driver for Windsor Mobile Homes
out of Bristol, Ind., and Newton. He retired while driving for Crete Carrier
Corp. in Crete, Neb. After his retirement, he was the animal control officer
for the city of Halstead and Sedgwick for more than 10 years. He was an avid RC
airplane builder and flyer. He married Susan Brock on May 30, 1980. He was
preceded in death by his son, Randy Holderman; brother-in-law, Ray Yeager; and
nephew, Michael Miller, along with his parents. His survivors include his wife,
Susan; and children Mrs. (Walden) Rhonda Regier, Ms. Kimberly Kamp, Mrs.
(Robert) Renee Bolton, Mrs. (Richard) Robyn Schmidling, Mr. Mark (Karletta)
Brock, Mr. Greg (Roberta) Brock, and Mr. Tim Brock. Grandchildren are
Christopher Brock, Levi Brock, Colton Brock, Michael Regier, Rebecca Regier,
Matthew Regier, Rachael Regier, Travis Brock, Richard Bolton, Kenneth
Schmidling, Kody Keiser, Hannah Keiser, Nikolaus Schmidling, Stephanie
Takemire, Kimberly Sanchez and Adam Brock. Great-grandchildren are Keriah Brock
and Cameron Brock. Siblings are Beth Brock Yeager and Ellis Brock. In lieu of
flowers, please send donations to Caring Hands of Newton. Service is being
provided by Baker Funeral Home of Valley Center. A memorial service will be on
Oct. 27 at Crossroad Community Church in Halstead. Time is not set as of yet.
