Obituary

Wilma Colleen "Coke" Smith, 88, of Newton, died Saturday (Nov. 26, 2016) at the Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

Coke was born on Feb. 5, 1928, in Burrton, the daughter of Dell and Mabel (Kasenberg) Roberts. She was raised in the Mt. Hope area, graduating from Mt. Hope High School.

She married Ralph M. Smith, Jr. on March 8, 1951, at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. After Ralph was discharged from the service, they returned to Newton in 1953.

For many years they owned and operated R M's Auto Electric Shop in Newton.

Coke is survived by her husband Ralph of Newton; two sons, Mickey Smith of Mesa, Arizona and Mitchell Smith of Wichita; three grandchildren, Josh Smith, Carrie Smith and Daniel Smith; and five great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or viewing as cremation has been effected.

Private inurnment services will be held at a later date at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in Ft. Dodge.
