Obituary: Beatrice Mulvaney-Gibson

There will be a memorial service and internment of the ashes of Beatrice Mulvaney-Gibson at 10:30 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 22, 2012) in the Mulvaney plot in Mound Township Cemetery. The public is welcome to come and join the family in this service. A lunch will follow at approximately noon at The Breadbasket in Newton. Bea, as she was commonly known, was born on Dec. 28, 1910, and raised on a farm west of Moundridge and spent most of her life in Newton, where she worked for Hogan’s and Gibson Discount Center. She has spent the later years in retirement in Silver City, N.M., where she passed away on March 22, 2012.She is survived by her daughter, Ginger of Indianapolis; son, Randy Gibson of Silver City; and sister, Jeanine Mulvaney-Erhart of Silver City.
