Obituary

NEWTON — Pauline H. Miller, 85, of Newton died on Tuesday (March 13, 2012) at Asbury Park.

She was born on March 9, 1927, in Thomas Township, Ellsworth County, near Lorraine, to LeRoy and Alva (Steinberg) Janzen. She married William D. Miller on Aug. 21, 1944, in Ellsworth. He preceded her in death on July 22, 2007.

She grew up on a farm in Ellsworth County and attended school in Lorraine. She received her GED in 1971 in Newton. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening and embroidering tea towels and giving them away. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Newton.

She is survived by a daughter, Maxine Williams of Newton; one granddaughter and husband, Lynette and Jeff Wyss of Newton; two great-grandchildren, Brandon and Erin Wyss of Newton; two brothers, Marlin Janzen of Albuquerque, N.M., and Glenn Janzen of Wichita; two half brothers, Larry Janzen of Texas and Norman Janzen of Halstead; and one half sister, Delores Hiebert of El Dorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Wayne Janzen; a half sister, Judith Regehr; and son-in-law, Gerald Williams.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.

There will be family greeting time from 9:30 a.m. to service time on Monday. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., all at the funeral home.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Lorraine Baptist Cemetery in Lorraine.

Memorials may be made to Lorraine Baptist Church, in care of the funeral home.
