Frieda Harder

Frieda Harder, 85, died Thursday (July 25, 2002) at her home in Newton. She was born Dec. 17, 1916, to Gustav and Katie (Regier) Entz in Newton. She married Walter Harder Sept. 7, 1938, in Newton. He survives of the home. 

She was a member of Emmaus Mennonite Church in Whitewater. She attended Dewey Rural School and Hesston Academy. 

Other survivors include: a daughter, Marilyn Kaufman of Newton; two brothers, Gus H. Entz and Arnold J. Entz, both of Newton; a sister, Helen Klaassen of Newton; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Harder.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8:30 p. m. Saturday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p. m. at Bob Lamb Funeral Home in Whitewater.

Funeral service will be 10 a. m. Monday at Emmaus Mennonite Church with Pastors Rodney Crowell and Bill Wiebe officiating. 

Burial will be in Emmaus Mennonite Church Cemetery in Whitewater.

Memorials have been established with Central Home Care and Hospice and Mineral Heights Christian Academy, both in care of the funeral home, 216 S. Main Street, Whitewater, KS 67154.
