Ann V. Waltner

Ann V. Waltner, 91, North Newton, died Tuesday (Jan. 30, 2007) at Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton. 

She was born Sept. 19, 1915, to Christian B. and Adina Goering in McPherson County. 

She married Milford D. Waltner on Oct. 23, 1937, in Moundridge. He preceded her in death April 14, 1986. 

She was a former employee of Elyeria Lumber and Mercantile Co. of Elyeria and Waltner Hatchery of Moundridge. 

She was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge. 

She is survived by a son, Douglas M. Waltner of Blakeslee, Pa.; three daughters, Janice A. Sevilla of Goessel, Aileen F. Miller of Bethany, Okla. and Donna L. Boesker of Derby; a brother, Jacob D. Goering of North Newton; two sisters, Melita Goering of Moundridge and Evelyn Lehman of North Newton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. 

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Erwin and Eldon Goering; three sisters, Elisabeth Wedel, Amanda Goering and Luella Stahly; and two grandchildren. 

There will be a graveside service at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Eden Church Cemetery in rural Moundridge followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Eden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge with pastors David Steven and Gail Graber officiating. 

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moundridge Funeral Home. 

Memorials have been established with Kidron Bethel Village and Eden Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home.
