Obituary
Carl C. Stahl, 83, died Wednesday (May
3, 2017) at Pine Village in Moundridge. He was born Oct. 5, 1933, in
Newton, to William and Mary (Scheffler) Stahl. On Oct. 8, 1954, he
married Eleanor N. Rose and she preceded him in death on April 28,
1982.
Carl worked at Triple A Lumberyard
before retirement in Newton. He enjoyed spending his time hunting and
fishing in his younger years. Carl had a work shop he spent time in,
building birdhouses and wood working. He also built a wood model of
the family farm he was proud of. Many days Carl could be seen driving
around Newton in his 1977 green and white Thunderbird that he proudly
cared for through the years.
Carl is survived by several loving
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; wife; and son, Larry Stahl. He was also preceded in death by
three brothers; three sisters; and one nephew, Wayne Janzen.
A graveside committal service will be
11 a.m. Tuesday (May 9, 2017) at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, with
Pastor Ray Adams presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. at
Petersen Funeral Home.
