Darlene Kay (Holinde) Hamilton

Darlene Kay (Holinde) Hamilton gained her wings on Sunday (July 9, 2017) after a long battle with cancer.  She was 64 years young.

Darlene was born on March 23, 1953, to John ""Jack" and Dorothy (Rosencutter) Holinde in Wicihita. She loved her family, friends, pets, the outdoors and life in general. She had a huge heart and a loving spirit and was always putting others before herself. Even on the worst of days she could always find a positive.  Darlene will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will live through our memories. God chose a true angel to grant wings and bring home. May our angel daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother watch over us until we meet again.

She is survived by brothers Frank (Marie) and Steven Holinde; and sister Lisa Holinde, all of Newton. She was blessed with four beautiful daughters, Justina (Clinton) Sebrant of Moundridge, Shannon (Joseph) Heimer of South Dakota, Tiffany (Michael) Goodall and Jamie (Brian) Brown all of Newton; one handsome son Jacob Hamilton of Newton; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. (However, the count may be slightly off because we are pretty sure she adopted all of Newton before she earned her wings.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy, three brothers: John Junior, Mark and Alen Holinde.
