Fawn was born on Jan. 31, 1974, in Newton. She spent her grade school years in Newton. She attended middle school and high school in California. She was a long-time resident of Ottawa, finishing high school there and completing a two-year degree in computer science at Johnson County Community College in Kansas City, Kansas, as well as an undergraduate degree in health administration from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe. Recently, she completed a master's degree in health administration from American University. Fawn loved to learn and had a wide-ranging interest in electronics, computer science and health care.

Fawn was happiest being at home, surrounded by family and friends. She was a long-time fan of the Chiefs and hosted many dinners in her home. She loved to cook and enjoyed feeding family and friends. Fawn loved animals and had numerous pets over the years. She enjoyed camping and fishing, as well as outdoor activities when she was young.

Fawn worked for a variety of call centers, including Ferrall's Gas and General Dynamics within the Health Exchanges/Medicare and Medicaid sections and the VA Hospital in Topeka. In recent years, she worked from home. She was known for her extensive knowledge, love of learning and often helped train and support her co-workers.

Her deep spiritual nature always shone through in her love of her expressed faith and those around her. She often reached out to people with a helping hand and all that knew her appreciated her compassion and giving spirit.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday (July 15, 2017) at the RiverPoint Church, 722 N. Main, Newton. A potluck dinner will be held beginning at 6 p.m. at the home of Loren and Lori Tedder, 220 E. 23rd St., Newton. Her remains will be buried in the Halstead Cemetery.

We will always carry Fawn's memory in our hearts. Her kindness, compassion and presence will always be with us. We will not cry that it happened, but celebrate that we had the opportunity of knowing her and the promise we will be reunited in our heavenly home. We look forward to her hugs, her beautiful smile and finding her surrounded by loving family and friends to comfort her and rejoice with us.
