Obituary

Louis Joseph Brouillard Sr., 78, of Newton, died Saturday (May 8, 2010) in Abilene.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1932, in Morristown, N.J.

During the Korean Conflict, Louis served in the U.S. Navy. He later served in the National Guard based in Newton.

He married Patsy L. Cole.

Louis worked for many years as a machinist. Having lived in the area off and on for several years, he finally settled in Newton in 1998. Louis was very active for many years with the local A.A. group.

Survivors include daughters, Sabrina Brouillard of Newton and Yvonne Dennett of Wellington, Victoria Taylor of Newton and Bonita Hartzell of Bennington; sons, Louis J. Brouillard Jr. of El Dorado, Randy Wilcome of Ontario, Calif., Ronald Wilcome of Salina and Thomas Wilcome of Modesto, Calif.; 20 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents; son, James R. Wilcome; grandson, Daniel G. Wilcome; and great grandson, Elijah Young.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.

There will be no visitation.
