Glenn Lee Bright
Glenn Lee Bright, 65, of Newton, died Monday (Feb. 1, 2010)
at Newton Medical Center.
He was born on April 21, 1944, in Kingswood, Bristol,
England, the son of Glenn Evans and Daisy Smith Bright. The family moved to the
United States when he was an infant. Glenn was raised in Newton and graduated
from Newton High School in 1962.
Glenn married Lynda Jeanne Davis on Jan. 22, 1966, in
Newton. He loved his many years working at Excel Industries in Hesston. He was
a member of Grace Community Church and enjoyed spending time with his racing
friends at BackStretch Racing.
Survivors include his wife Lynda; two daughters, Brenda and
Brandi; two sons-in-law, Ernie and Ian; granddaughters Aubrey and Alexa; sister
Pauline; and brother, Charley.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Broadway
Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. Interment will be in the Peabody Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral
home.
A memorial has been established with the Homeless Shelter.
