Myrle Neva Goossen Buller
Myrle Neva Goossen Buller, 87, died Sunday (Feb. 14, 2010.)
She was born April 2, 1922 in Goessel to Frank J. Goossen and Agnes (Goertz)
Goossen. She attended schools in Newton and was a 1940 graduate of Newton High
School.
She worked for Guerdon Industries for 18 years and Bethel
Deaconess Hospital/Newton Medical Center for 13 years. She retired in 1988. She
was president of the Etcetera Shop board in the early 1990s and volunteered
many hours to the Etcetera Shop, Mennonite Central Committee, and Newton
Medical Center Auxiliary.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crochet, knitting, reading,
numerous camping trips and many bus trips. She was a member of First Mennonite
Church in Newton
She married Marvin H. Buller on Oct. 1, 1941. He survives at
Presbyterian Manor in Newton.
She also is survived by her brother, Ray Goossen of
Brainard, Neb.; children, George and Janice Arnold of Hesston, Lawrence and Amy
Buller of Austin, Texas, and Leroy and Ruby of Newton; grandchildren, Scott and
Tasha Arnold of Hesston, Derek and Melody Arnold of Hutchinson, Jamie Buller of
New York, Brett Buller of Austin, Texas, Greg Walling of Austin, Texas, Allison
Walling of New York, Sara Buller of Abilene, and Daniel Buller of Iola; great
-grandchildren, Taylor Arnold, Haley Arnold, Max Arnold, Nicholas Arnold and
Olivia Arnold, Dakota Roberds and Paige Roberds.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Wednesday with the
family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be at 11a.m. Thursday at First
Mennonite Church in Newton.
A graveside committal service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday
at Alexanderwhol Mennonite Cemetery in rural Goessel.
Memorials may be left with MCC Relief in care of Petersen
Funeral Home.
