Bernice Beatrice Ray-Hutcherson Ray-Hutcherson, Bernice Beatrice, 87, retired professor for Wichita State and social worker for the State of Kansas, passed away May 3, 2012 in Wichita. Bernice was born April 14, 1925 in Newton, Kan. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Order of the Eastern Star-Katurah F. Valley #97, and Heroines of Jerico. Preceded in death by her husband, Hubert William Hutcherson and granddaughter LaSheri Cox. Survivors include daughters, Karla M. Hutcherson and Pam D. White; grandsons, James Arbertha II, Briston White, Brison White; and six great-grandchildren. Wake services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Jackson Mortuary Chapel.
