Mary Jean Brown
WICHITA - Mary Jean Brown, 82, died on Friday (Nov. 13,
2009) at her residence.
She was born on March 25, 1927, in McPherson to Samuel and
Caroline (Freeburg) Perry.
She graduated from Newton High School in 1944.
On Dec. 22, 1946, she married Kenneth V. Brown in Newton.
Most of her working life, Mary was an executive secretary in
the aircraft and oil industry.
She is survived by her husband of Wichita; son, Matthew V.
Brown of Wichita; two sisters, Laetta Hudson and JoAnn Pulliam, both of
Wichita; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A book signing will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Petersen
Funeral Home, and a Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at
First Evangelical Free Church in Wichita with Pastor Michael Andrus presiding.
Memorial donations can be made to Harry Hynes Hospice or to
the First Evangelical Free Church in care of the funeral home.
