Frieda M. Brenneman
INMAN -- Frieda M. Brenneman, 88, died
Tuesday (April 24, 2001) at Pleasant View Home in Inman.
She was born Dec. 31, 1912, to Peter H.
and Katie (Martens) Ediger in rural Inman. She married Roy Brenneman
April 20, 1954, at Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church near Inman. He
survives.
She was raised and educated at the
South Inman Grade School and graduated from Inman High School in
1932. Prior to enrolling in nursing training at Bethel Deaconess
Hospital in Newton, she provided care-giving services to families in
the Inman area. She also worked at Franz Grocery Store in Buhler.
After graduating from nurses training at Bethel Deaconess Hospital in
1950, she began work as a registered nurse for Dr. Lee S. Fent. She
also provided health care services to residents at Bethel Kidron and
Presbyterian Manor before retiring in 1985. She later moved to Inman
in 1995. She was a member of Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church near Inman
and later joined First Church of the Nazarene in Newton. After moving
to Inman she attended Inman Mennonite Church.
Other survivors include: two sons,
Robert Brenneman and wife Crystal of Olathe and Rick Brenneman and
wife Mellissa of Liberal; two brothers, Herb Ediger and Delbert
Ediger, both of Inman; two sisters, Esther Harms of North Newton and
Elva Friesen of Hutchinson; and five grandchildren, Jeremy Brenneman,
Angelia Brenneman, Darin Brenneman and Breanna Brenneman, all of
Olathe, and Blake Brenneman of Liberal.
She was preceded in death by: two
brothers, Ben Ediger and Henry Ediger; and four sisters, Anna Ediger,
Bertha Ediger, Rosella Ediger and Edna Doerksen.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8:30
p.m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
Buhler Mortuary and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with family
greeting friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Broadway Colonial Funeral
Home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m.
Saturday at First Church of the Nazarene in Newton with the Rev.
Jerry Kaiser officiating.
Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery in
Newton.
