Billy Dean Alexander
Billy Dean Alexander, 74, died on Oct. 30, 2009, at Kansas
Christian Home in Newton.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1934, to Willie Mae (Higgins) and
Billy Dean Alexander Sr. in Newton.
Billy was a regular attendee of Hall's Chapel AME in Newton.
He graduated from Wichita State University with a business
administration degree. Billy was a salesman for Pitney Bowes for more than 20
years. He also was the owner of several businesses, including insulation and
landscaping.
Billy held a lifetime membership with Kappa Alpha Psi
fraternity.
Survivors include his wife, Dona, of Newton; two daughters,
Diana Alexander and Karen Alexander; four brothers, Milfred Alexander, John
Alexander, LeEster Alexander and Vernon Dangerfield; one sister, Angela
Dangerfield; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a sister, Ruby
Bell; and a great-niece, Dominique Johnson.
The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity
Heights United Methodist Church in Newton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kappa Alpha Psi
in care of the funeral home.
