W.W. Wing Died At Plains Sunday

 

W.W. Wing, formerly of Newton, died at his home at Plains Sunday.  He will be brought here for interment and the funeral, it is stated, would be held some time tomorrow, but the exact hour could not be given until relatives had been consulted.  His brother, P.N. Wing of Peabody came down this morning to make preliminary arrangements and went on to Hutchinson to meet a daughter of the deceased this evening.  The Evening Kansan-Republican, Newton Kansas.  Monday, March 25, 1918.  Page 6.

 

The Funeral of W.W. Wing

 

The funeral of W.W. Wing, whose death occurred Sunday at Plains, Kans., was held this afternoon at 5:30 at the Methodist Church, and was conducted by Rev. R.L. George.

 

Mrs. John Oren, youngest daughter of the deceased, arrived from Nebraska on the afternoon train, and his daughter, Mrs. D. Willis, accompanied the body from Plains to Newton.  The Evening Kansan-Republican, Newton Kansas.  Tuesday, March 26, 1918.  Page 8.
