Elizabeth Dyck Jantzen
Elizabeth Dyck Jantzen, 86, 3 Grove Ct., a homemaker and former country schoolteacher, died Sunday (Feb. 10, 1991) at Newton Medical Center.
Memorial services will be at 3:30 p. m. Wednesday at First Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Lubin Jantzen officiating. Private graveside services will be held.
She was born June 12, 1904 in Moundridge, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Epp) Dyck. On June 15, 1930, she married David F Jantzen in Moundridge. He died Jan. 19, 1980. She was a member of First Mennonite Church and had lived in Newton most of her life.
Survivors include two sons, Melvin D. Jantzen of Las Vegas and Carroll Jantzen of Upland, Calif.; one sister, Hulda Jantzen of Topeka; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p. m. today and all day Tuesday at Petersen's Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Gideons International Bible Society.
