Jonathan Gonzalez Wake

Jonathan Gonzalez Wake joined us briefly the morning of May 20, 2009. He then rejoined our Lord in eternity. Although we held him only briefly, he will remain in our hearts always.

Jonathan was born at Newton Medical Center, the son of Baillye S. Wake and Thomas Gilbert Gonzalez, both of Newton.

Other survivors include maternal grandparents, Katrina Hinshaw, and Jim and Diane Wake; paternal grandparents, Gilbert Gonzalez and Leatha Cool, and Karen Lee and Dave Lee; maternal great-grandparent, Marilyn Wake; aunts, Anna Gonzalez, Olivia Gonzales, Kyrie Wake and Dakota Lee; and uncles, James Wake and Alex Cain.

He was preceded in death by maternal great-grandparents, Gene and Georgia Sills, and Eddie Walker; and paternal great-grandparents, Hope Gonzalez and Janice Brown.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 5 p.m. Sunday, and Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton.

Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Newton.

There will be no visitation.
