Arlene E. Bradshaw
Arlene E. Bradshaw, 67, died Wednesday (April 15, 2009) in
her home in Newton, surrounded by her loving family members.
Arlene was born on Jan. 4, 1942, to Paul and Ida Heidebrecht
in Newton. They preceded her in death.
Arlene worked in Newton as a purchasing agent for Hehr
Industries. However, her primary occupation and love was the care of her
children and grandchildren. Arlene was a very proper 'lady' and demonstrated a
simple and humble elegance. She loved to sing and dance and especially enjoyed
country music and dancing.
She unconditionally loved everyone who entered her home and
treated them all like her own family. She made a house a home. Little things
meant the most to her, and she would light up when a grandchild (her little
angels) came and visited her. She was a Proverbs 31 woman, she who worked very
hard to provide for her family and made sure that they were never in need. Her
family greatly loved her and will miss her smile, warmth and love.
Arlene is survived by four sons, Jesse and Rose Bradshaw,
Travis and Jennifer Kershner, Troy and Traci Kershner, and Tyler and Julie
Kershner; three daughters, Paula Turner, Kathy Thompson and Bill Mapes, and
Jeny Thrasher; and two brothers, Jim and Ray Heidebrecht. She had 18
grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
A son, Grant Gordon Kershner, also proceeded her in death.
Burial will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery.
