Eileen Henrietta Coester
Eileen Henrietta Coester, 85,
formerly of Wichita, died Sunday (Oct. 12, 2008) at Presbyterian Manor in
Newton. The daughter of Walter and Clara Bidwell Coester, she was born Feb. 15,
1923, in Brazilton. She graduated from Hepler High School and from business
school in Independence. Eileen was a civil service employee of the U.S. Air
Force for 40 years, and, as such, lived in Hawaii, Alaska, New Mexico,
California, Arizona, Colorado and Kansas. Eileen was a member of East Heights United Methodist Church in
Wichita. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years and loved to read,
sew and knit.
Eileen is survived by a
brother, Leland Coester of Newton, and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers
and a sister preceded her in death.
The memorial service will be
at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Downing and Lahey Mortuary East in Wichita. Interment
will be at Girard City Cemetery in Girard.

KS 67208 and the Salvation Army, 350 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
