Charles "Chuck" Burnett
Obituary
Charles (Chuck) Roland Burnett, 64, of
Halstead, passed away on Tuesday (May 8, 2018). He was born in Los
Angeles to Richard Dietz and Nancy DeShazo. Chuck attended Nickerson
High School and then served his country in the Vietnam War.
On June 25, 1977, he married Linda
(Seiler) Burnett. Together, they had three children: Kristoffer
Burnett of Wichita, Karis O'Neal of Newton and Kortnye Pace of
Bentonville, Arkansas.
Throughout his career, Chuck worked in
various capacities, including sales and management in the lumber and
building materials industry.
Chuck loved KU basketball, movies,
video games, good food, his loyal chihuahuas and, most of all,
spending time with his family. He had a warm, charismatic personality
that was endearing to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Linda;
and his three children and their spouses, Kristoffer (Andrea)
Burnett, Karis O'Neal and Kortnye (Nick) Pace. He is also survived by
his beloved grandchildren: Allyson and Madalyn Burnett, Gracie, Gavin
and Grant O'Neal. Additionally, Chuck leaves behind his mother, Nancy
DeShazo, and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father,
