Aldene
Wohlgemuth Tilson, 85, died Wednesday (July 23, 2008) at Newton Medical Center
in Newton.
She was born
Sept. 1, 1922, in Newton to Cornelius and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Wohlgemuth. They
preceded her in death.
Aldene was
an avid bowler with numerous awards and trophies, include the '64' singles. She
also was a winner of the Kansas bingo player championship.
Aldene was
an accomplished seamstress and was hard working and tried to always improve her
home and her homemaking skills.
She was a
member of the Kansas Humane Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Aldene is
survived by a son, Kenneth Neil Tilson of Wichita; a daughter, Cathy and Steve
Hildebrand of Pottsboro, Texas; two grandsons, Samuel Wesley Tilson and
Christopher Neil Tilson; and a granddaughter, Amber Michelle Tilson.
She also was
preceded in death by a son, Ricky Tilson, and a sister, Reva Thompson.
