Iva Fern (Keesling) Heidebrecht
FREDERICKSBURG, Texas - Iva Fern (Keesling) Heidebrecht, 81, born Oct. 16, 1931, in Sylvia, passed away Feb. 26, 2013, at home surrounded by her family.
She was employed for many years in the family-owned telephone business and was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Donald, whom she married on Feb. 12, 1950, in Burrton, Kan.; three daughters, Peggy Diane Hannon (Joe) of Fredericksburg, Texas, Linda Maria Heidebrecht-Sovich (Charlie) of Des Moines, Iowa, and Susan Ann Ambroson (Terry) of Urbandale, Iowa; three sisters, Ella Collins Colcord of Forest Grove, Ore., Aline Oswald of La Mirada, Calif., and Maxine Lundstrom of Hutchinson, Kan.; and brother, George Keesling of Hutchinson, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William Donald Heidebrecht; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.G. Keesling; and a sister, Vita Chapman.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the family plot in Burrton Cemetery, Burrton, Kan. over Memorial Day weekend. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Burrton United Methodist Church, Burrton, Kan., Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Choose Life Sunday school Class, or Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Fredericksburg, Texas.
