Viola Schroeder Stucky
Viola Schroeder Stucky, 94, died Jan.
26, 2016, at Mennonite Friendship Communities. She was born April 27,
1921, in Harvey County, Kansas, the daughter of David and Emma
Flickner Schroeder. A longtime resident of the Pretty Prairie
community, she was a former housekeeper at the Prairie Sunset Home.
She was a member of the First Mennonite
Church, Pretty Prairie.
On Sept. 26, 1941, she married Herman
Stucky. He died in February 2005. Survivors include: a son, Allen; a
brother, Lester; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a
great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul, two
brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday
at the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie. The family will
receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Livingston Funeral Home,
Kingman. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Memorials may be sent
to the First Mennonite Church or Hospice and Home Care of Reno
County, both in care of the funeral home.
