Ruth Buller
Obituary
Ruth O. Wiederstein Buller was born
Jan. 7, 1923, in Lehigh. Ruth passed away Oct. 4, 2018, at the age of
95 years. She graduated from Inman High School and attended business
college in Hutchinson.
She married Walter Buller on April 3,
1942, and was a world class mother to seven children and 38 grand-
and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed keeping up with all of her kids'
lives and activities and served as an important "information
hub," keeping everyone in the family informed of news.
Since she was an accomplished pianist
and organist, she served as accompanist for at least 50 years
starting in high school and for many years at church. She always
loved music, especially hymns and gospel music. She also was an
outstanding and prolific knitter and seamstress. She blessed all of
her family with countless gorgeous, homemade afghans and intricate
clothing items. She continued the legacy by teaching the skills to
several of her kids and grandkids.
Ruth was preceded in death by her
parents, William and Sarah Wiederstein; siblings, Lorene Meyer and
Gene Wiederstein; husband, Walter Buller; and son-in-law, Robert
Brunk.
She is survived by her seven children
and their families: Richard Buller (Kwon) in El Paso, Texas, Nancy
Brunk in Inman, Roger Buller (Shirley) in Wichita, Delores Boehm
(Paul) in Littleton, Colorado, Patrice Hill (Greg) in Pittsville,
Virginia, Marilee Magerkurth (Fred) in Lake Lotawana, Missouri, and
Russ Buller (Brittany) in Hesston.
Her dry sense of humor and positive
outlook on life will be greatly missed.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial
services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 20, 2018) at the
Schowalter Villa Chapel, with Pastor Brad Burkholder presiding.
Inurnment will follow at the North Inman Cemetery, Inman.
A Memorial fund has been established
with Harry Hynes Hospice and Schowalter Villa, both in care of
Miller-Ott Funeral Home, Hesston.
