Obituary
Carl T. Burns Sr., 70, passed away
Friday (Oct. 26, 2018) at his home in Newton. Carl was born May 18,
1948, to Thomas and Wanda Burns in St. Francis. He moved to Newton in
1965 with his family and graduated from Newton High School in 1966.
He and Barbara Ballou were married Aug.
31, 1967. They had two children, Carl Jr. and Bethany.
Carl worked most of his adult life in
the building industry, owning Burns Home Exteriors for more than 20
years. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, going to K-State
football games and watching his grandchildren's sports events. He was
always an avid reader, joining book clubs at the Newton Public
Library in his later years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara;
son, Carl Burns Jr. (Lori) of Newton; daughter, Bethany Anderson
(T.J.) of Augusta; and six grandchildren: John and Taylor Burns,
Nichole Trail and Elizabeth, Alexis and Jamie Anderson. He is also
survived by two brothers, William of Picayune, Mississippi and
Richard of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and three sisters, Bobbie Goins of
Sedgwick, Carolyn Waltman and Susanna Fornwalt of Newton.
Memorial services will be held at 3
p.m. Thursday (Nov. 1, 2018) at the Eastside Methodist Church of
Newton.

Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, the Newton Public
Library or Ducks Unlimited.
