Steven Phillips
TOPEKA - Steven Phillips, 58,
died July 7, 2007, at his residence, Topeka.
He was born Aug. 26, 1948, in
Newton, the son of Lloyd C. and Kathryn J. Black Phillips. He was a graduate of
Newton High School and Emporia State University. He was employed by the Santa
Fe Railroad. He was a Vietnam war veteran and served in the U.S. Army in the
101st Airborne Division.
Survivors include a sister,
Barbara Nunns, of Hutchinson.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Friday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton, with Pastor Gary Bell
presiding. Visitation was held Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in
Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, with military honors conducted by Fort Riley
soldiers.
