Larry J. Hanke

WICHITA - Larry J. Hanke, 69, died March 24, 2006, in Wichita. He was born March 8, 1937, to Irvin and Katherine Hanke in Newton. They preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1951 to 1962. Larry was a longtime resident of Wichita where he retired from Boeing as a precision machinist in 1995. Survivors include: daughters, Rhonda Vogts of Denver, Shannon Dominguez of Firestone, Colo., and Sharla Hankevogts of Denver; a son, Jason (Jamie) Hanke of Towanda; granddaughters, Danielle and Keirston; and a brother, Robert Hanke of Spokane Valley, Wash.

A cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Restlawn Cemetery in Newton. Military honors will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Newton.

Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202.
