Bev Hunt
Bev Hunt, 60, died Tuesday
(April 18, 2006) at Via Christi - St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in
Wichita. She was born Sept. 14, 1945, to Everett Wendell and Eva May (Smiley)
Smith in Newton. She married David Lee Hunt in 1964 in Newton. He preceded her
in death in 1970. She was a 1963 graduate of Peabody High School and earned a
social work degree from Wichita State University. Bev enjoyed collecting eagle
figurines and riding motorcycles. She also had a love of dogs.
Survivors include: her
mother, Eva May (Smiley) Kinkead of Wichita; a daughter, Brenda Whitehead of
Mulvane; a son, David Lee Hunt II of Fargo, N.D.; a brother, James Smith of
Overland Park; a sister, Teresa Kelzer of Wichita; and four
grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by her father.
Visitation will be from 9
a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2
p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Chaplain Jeanine Arnold officiating.
Burial will be in Arlington
National Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
