Fernando J. 'Bernie' Castro
HARRISVILLE, R.I. - Fernando
J. "Bernie" Castro, 71, died Monday (May 1, 2006) at home.
He was born in Lyons and
graduated from Newton High School where he excelled at basketball and went on
to serve in the U.S. Navy. His whole life revolved around his Christian faith,
family and friends, on whom he left his special mark.
He was the beloved husband of
Nancy (Breitenstein) Castro and is also survived by his two brothers Louis and
Oscar Castro and his four sisters, Grace Juarez, Yolanda Garcia, Gloria Garcia,
all residing in Kansas, and Blanche Covington of Frisco, Texas. He was the
loving father to Juli Wright, Deborah Halsey, Melissa Bartel, Stephen Castro,
Karen Pietropaoli, Nicole Hill, Misty Peloso and Kristie Castro and cherished
by his 15 grandchildren.
