Phyllis Audrey Crail
Phyllis Audrey Crail, 92, passed away on Sunday (Sept. 11, 2011) at her home in Newton.
She was born on April 23, 1919, in Hartford, the daughter of Elmer Joseph and Maybelle Alice Foster Musselman. On Dec. 11, 1937, she married Alvin A. Crail in Hartford. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Phyllis worked many years as a clerk in Newberry's Department Store in Parsons.
She is survived by her daughters, Alyce (Willis) Dyck of Newton and Beverley G. Crail; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Lyle A. Crail; and three brothers, Dale Musselman, Robert J. Mussel-man and Raymond G. Musselman.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, and funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, both at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel in Newton. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. at Hartford Cemetery in Hartford.
Memorial donations may be made to Newton Meals on Wheels, in care of the funeral home.
