June A. Bunting
June A. Bunting, 82, died
Thursday (July 20, 2006) at Newton Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1924,
to John Joseph and Hazel E. (Bergmooser) Klotz in Detroit, Mich. They preceded
her in death. She married Walter F. Bunting Aug. 7, 1948, in Detroit, Mich. He
preceded her in death April 15, 1994. June was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
Church and the St. Mary's Altar Society. She was a co-founder along with her
husband Walter of Bunting Magnetics Co. where she served on the board of
directors as chair, retiring in September 2005. She was a volunteer at the
former Central Homecare and Hospice, now Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. She was
a member of the Newton Country Club and its ladies golf association. June
enjoyed spending time golfing, gardening and completing jigsaw puzzles. She
looked forward to spending time with her loving family and many friends. June
had a special love of animals and donated used blankets to the Caring Hands
Humane Society to help care for the animals it sheltered.
Survivors include: daughters,
Donna and Mark Draznik of North Newton, Patricia "Patty Ann"
Jackowski of Chandler, Ariz., and June and Richard Meister of Newton; a son,
Robert "Bob" and Barbara Bunting of Newton; a sister, Lilus and Chuck
Young of Detroit; sisters-in-law, Betty Lou Klotz of Detroit and Loretta and
John Garr of Detroit; grandsons, Matthew Draznik, Robert Bunting Jr., Ryan
Jackowski, Bradford Jackowski and Christopher Meister; and granddaughters,
Amanda Draznik, Molly Bunting, Kimberly and Mike Nunamaker, Hillary Meister and
Mellony Meister.
She also was preceded in
death by a brother, Richard Klotz.
Visitation will be from 1 to
9 p.m. Saturday at Petersen Funeral Home.
Recitation of the rosary will
be 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Family will greet friends
following the rosary until 6 p.m.
Funeral service will be 10
a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Jim Mainzer
officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's
Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials have been
established with Caring Hands Humane Society and St. Mary's Catholic Church,
both in care of the funeral home.
