Carolyn R. Taylor
HALSTEAD - Carolyn R. Taylor,
55, middle school and high school teacher for USD 440 Halstead/Bentley, died
Sunday (Aug. 20, 2006) at Newton Medical Center in Newton.
She was born Sept. 5, 1955,
to Richard and Verleine (Komarek) Petz in Great Bend. They preceded her in
death. She married Steve L. Taylor on July 26, 1974, in Halstead. He survives
of Halstead.
She was a member of NEA and
KNEA.
Other survivors include
brothers, Dennis Petz of Wichita and Neil Petz of Burlington, N.J.
She also was preceded in
death by a brother, Larry Petz.
Family will greet friends
from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.
A cremation will follow the
visitation. There will be no public service.
Memorials have been
established with the Carolyn Taylor Scholarship Fund at Halstead High School in
care of the funeral home, 418 Chestnut, Halstead, KS 67056.
