Winnie June Dealy

Winnie June Dealy, 81, died Friday (April 13, 2007) at Kansas Christian Home in Newton.

She was born on June 19, 1925, in Hamilton, to Andrew Scott and Winnie Clarice (Wallce) Rose. Both preceded her in death. On July 26, 1950, she married Bernard Patrick Dealy in Liberal. He died Dec. 18, 1983. She was a retired bookkeeper of Burrton Auto Repair in Burrton. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sacred Heart altar Society both of Halstead. June manned the World War II casualty teletype for families of area soldiers. A member of AA she was very proud of her 34 years of sobriety.

Survivors include nephew and care giver, David Rose of Newton and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sons, BernardJr. and Ivan Dealy, a daughter, Madeline Rose Dealy, brothers, Gordon and Wallace Rose, and a sister Eleanor Greenwood.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Kaufman Funeral Home. Service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Halstead with Father Thomas Wai officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.

Memorials may be made to B.P. Dealy Infant Cerebral Palsey Research Fund in care of the funeral home.
