KINGMAN - Edna L. Schrag, 89, died Jan. 19, 2009, at Riverside Village, Wichita.

She was born May 10, 1919, at Walton, Kan., the daughter of Cornelius H. and Katarina Voth Schmidt. A longtime resident of the Kingman area, she was a homemaker.

She was a member of Kingman Mennonite Church and the Kingman Art Club.

On Oct. 28, 1939, she married Elmer V. Schrag at rural Newton; he died Feb. 23, 2004. Survivors include: son, Jerry; daughters, Patricia Orcutt, Karen Matthews and Janet Harris; brothers, Harold and Earl Schmidt; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence, Charles and Milton; sisters Elsie Zielke, Irma Schmidt, Martha Unruh and Hilda Schroeder; and grandson, Jason Orcutt.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Kingman Mennonite Church. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Cleveland Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the Interfaith Ministries and Hospice Care of Kansas, both in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 North Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
