Dennis James Zismann, 81, of Gentry, Arkansas, died June 15, 2017, at Bradford House Nursing and Rehab, Bentonville, Arkansas. Born October 20, 1935, in Halstead, Kansas, he was the son of Rudolph John Zismann and Fontaine (Nightingale) Zismann. Dennis married Janet Johnson in 1962. Dennis was a 20 year resident of Gentry, Arkansas, formerly of Macon, Mississippi, and Jonesboro, Arkansas, he was a lifelong farmer.
Survivors include his wife Janet of the home; sons James Zismann and wife Sherry of Macon, Mississippi and Gary Zismann and wife Angela of Gentry, Arkansas; daughters Sharon Hiebert and husband Randal of Macon, Mississippi and Janell Koehn and husband David of Gentry, Arkansas; 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sisters Irene Zismann of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Lois Terry of Gentry, Arkansas and Edna Boyle of Gentry, Arkansas and mother in law Ruth Johnson of Moundridge, Kansas.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 19, 2017 at Gentry Mennonite Church, Gentry, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Gentry Mennonite Cemetery, Gentry, Arkansas. Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, June 18, 2017, at Gentry Mennonite Church, Gentry, Arkansas.
