Mary C. Heckendorn
Mary C. Heckendorn, 79, 2 10th St. Court, former co-owner of Heckendorn Manufacturing Co. of Cedar Point, died Thursday (July 18, 1991) at Newton Medical Center.
The rosary will be said at 10 a.m. Sunday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Florence, with the Rev. Robert Wachter officiating. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in Cedar Point cemetery.
She was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Kansas City, Mo., to Ralph and Mary Grace Cottingham Dunegan. She married Marson B. Heckendorn Aug. 10, 1935, in Wichita. He died June 1, 1979. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the altar society, both of Newton.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Eye of Newton; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Draper-Cannon Funeral Home, Newton. The family suggests memorials to the St. Mary's Building Fund.
