Clara Jane Adams
BENTLEY - Clara Jane Adams,
76, Bentley, died Thursday (Feb. 8, 2007) at Via Christi Regional Medical
Center in Wichita.
She was born Dec. 16, 1930,
to Herbert E. and Mary S. (Wilson) Beins at Plattsmouth, Neb. Both preceded her
in death.
She was a surgical scrub tech
at Halstead Hospital and a member of Bentley United Methodist Church, F.C.E.
and the Bentley Red Hatters.
She married Garold Dewey
"Dude" Adams on Feb. 25, 1950, in Bentley. He died on April 28, 1994.
She is survived by four
daughters, Rita Hall of St. Louis, Wanda Ballinger of Colwich, Patricia Krueger
of Bentley and Debra Nightingale of Halstead; two brothers, Edward Beins of
Grand Junction, Colo., and Richard Beins of Bentley; two sisters, Betty Rice of
Wichita and Mary Lou Williams of Pittsburg; five grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six
step-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in
death by a sister, Beulah Cutting; and a step-grandaughter, Megan Wood.
Funeral service will be at 2
p.m. Tuesday at Bentley United Methodist Church with the Revs. Paul Stephens
and Cheryl Wertheimer officiating.
Visitation will be from 2 to
8 p.m. Monday with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kaufman Funeral
Home, 418 Chestnut, Halstead.
Burial will be at Pleasant
Valley Cemetery, Bentley.
Memorials have been
established with the Bentley United Methodist Church in care of the funeral
home.
