MINNIE P (WOOLMAN) CAIN

Minnie Pearl (Woolman) Cain, age 81 died on March 19, 1979 at the Halstead Nursing Center. She was born Minnie Pearl Woolman on November 26, 2896 at Glen Elder, KS to Enoch F Woolman and Hattie Anderson Woolman.

Minnie P Woolman and James Leonard Cain were married on May 24, 1917 in Wichita, KS and farmed for several years in the Colwich, Halstead and Sedgwick, Kansas areas. He died May 27, 1969. She had lived in Halstead, KS since 1969.

Survivors include three sons: Milton (Alice) Cain of Lakewood, CO, Gerald (Lorane) Cain of Wichita, KS, and Lewis (Elizabeth) Cain of rural Halstead, KS. Two daughters: Marjorie (Gibb) Sentel of North Glen, CO and Lois (Berkley) Watts of Ponca City, OK. Two brothers: Milton (Berta ) Woolman of Phoenix, AZ and Floy (Helen) Woolman of San Jose, CA. Three sisters: Truie (Fay) Winters, Vera ( ___) McGuire and Opal (William) Feigley, all of Wichita. Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday morning at 10:00 am at the church with the Rev John Hastings conducting. Burial will be in Maize Cemetery. Kauffman Funeral Home, Halstead, KS will be in charge of the arrangements.
