Irvin D. Voth, 86, of Goessel, Kansas, passed away January 22, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. He was born July 10, 1934 in Goessel, the son of David S. and Martha (Reimer) Voth.

Irvin graduated from Goessel High School with the class of 1953. He graduated from Bethel College in 1960 with a degree in elementary education. He went on to graduate from Emporia State Teacher's College in 1969 with a Master's degree in elementary school guidance and counseling.

Irvin started his career in Hillsboro where he taught 5th grade for eight years. After getting his master's degree, he accepted a position in the Salina school district as an elementary school counselor which he eventually retired from in 1991. During his retirement, he was a school administrator for nine years at the Hebron Evangelical School for boys in West Bank, Palestine.

Irvin was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel, where he served as deacon, youth sponsor, Sunday school teacher, and was an active participant in the church choir and bell choir.

He was united in marriage to Susanna Dueck on May 1, 1959 in Goessel. He is survived by his wife and his three sons, Tim (Debbie) of Delaware, Arkansas, Chuck (Sharon) of Branson, Missouri, and Mike (Dawn) of Littleton, Colorado; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Irvin was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Orie, Paul, Wesley, Orville, and Milo; and sister, Esther Fast.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Cemetery on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda Home in care of Miller-Ott Funeral Home, PO Box 96, Goessel, KS 67053.
