Mary Lou Unrau
1934 - 2021
Mary Lou Unrau, 86, of Newton, Kansas,
passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Newton Medical Center. She
was born April 16, 1934 in Goessel, Kansas, the daughter of Bernard
and Marie (Schmidt) Voth.
She graduated from Goessel High School
with the class of 1952.
Mary Lou was a beautician for 33 years
and owned her own salon in North Newton. She was also a devoted
homemaker.
She was a member of Alexanderwohl
Mennonite Church.
Mary Lou was united in marriage to Glen
Unrau on June 12, 1952 at Tabor Mennonite Church. He survives of the
home.
Other survivors include her sons, Lynel
(Vickie) Unrau, DeAlan (Alma) Unrau, and Vance (Candace) Unrau;
daughter, Lucia Unrau (Peter Terry); grandchildren, Ashley (Andy)
Bingham, Chad (Mindy) Unrau, Brianna (Preston) Combs, Zane Unrau,
Jared (Laura) Unrau, Ty (Kaitlin) Unrau, Tara (Chad) Hershberger,
Trey (Courtney) Unrau, Dylan Terry, Elyse Terry and Kallen Terry;
great-grandchildren, Lucy, Silas, Ellie, Logan, Kohen, Archer and
Pennington; and brother, Lester (Lois) Voth.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her
parents, Bernard and Marie Voth.
Family memorial services will be held
at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church,
