Archie Lee Dickson

Archie Lee Dickson, 92, of Newton, former Elbing resident, died Friday (Sept. 2, 2005) at Friendly Acres Retirement Community.

He was a retired farmer and dairyman.

Funeral service was at 11 a.m. today at Lamb Funeral Home Chapel in Whitewater. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Elbing. Pastor Rod Bevan will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to Friendly Acres or Hospice.

He was born Feb. 12, 1913, in Stafford to Paul Dickson and Grace Snyder.

On Feb. 23, 1924, he married Mary Thelma Seeney in Newton. She died May 23, 2001.

Survivors include sons Richard Dickson of Newton and Bill Dickson of Emporia; daughters, Thelma Harder of Abilene, Mary Kortan of Topeka and Lilly Usau of McGregor, Texas; brother, Lloyd Dickson of Newton; and half sisters, Grace Vanskike of Great Bend, Virginia Kernan of Arcata, Calif., Beulah Turner of Clay Center and Joyce Bender of Sedgwick; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
