Dr. Jesse J. Wilson

Dr. Jesse J. Wilson, 96, retired chiropractor, died Wednesday (April 21, 2004) at Mercy Hospital in Moundridge. He was born Feb. 29, 1908, in Kansas City, Kan. He married Corda Nevils Aug. 30, 1930. She preceded him in death. He worked as a barber for many years and graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1954. He practiced in Kansas City before moving his practice to Oskaloosa in 1966. He was elected probate judge of Jefferson County in 1970 and served in that office until January 1975. He became historian to the Kansas House of Representatives in April 1979 and served in that capacity until June 1990. He retired to Newton in 1995 and lived there until February 2003 when he became a resident of Memorial Home in Moundridge.

Survivors include: a son, Roger N. Wilson of Newton; three granddaughters, two great-granddaughters; and a great-grandson.

Funeral service will be 2 p. m. Monday at Barnett Funeral Home in Oskaloosa.

Burial will be in Oskaloosa Cemetery.
