Hilda Cornelia (van der Smissen) Voran

Hilda (van der Smissen) Voran, 95, of Bethel Home for the Aged, Newton, died Aug. 24 at the home. Services were held Aug. 28 at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, with Burl Allison officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. A native of Summerfield, Ill., she was a homemaker. Survivors include one son, Jim of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Carolyn Roby of Wichita; four sisters, Frieda Andreas of Newton, Elizabeth Clemmer of Fort Wayne, Ind., Edna Cowsert of Junction, Texas, and Ruth Johnson of Huntington, Ind.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband Chris, preceded her in death in 1984.
