Earl G. Mueller

Newton - Earl G. Mueller 88, died Tuesday August 3, 2021 Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita, Kansas. He was born October 19, 1932 in Newton, Kansas to Gerhard and Johanna Ruth (Utech) Mueller. On April 12, 1958 he married Eloise Bynum at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hope, Kansas and she survives of the home.

Earl served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Newton. He also served one term on the Marion County Commission. He was a graduate of Tampa High School and attended the former St. John's College in Winfield, Kansas.

Earl was the retired President of his family oil company Cardie Oil. He was a member of the Kansas Oil Marketers Association where he served in numerous offices.

He could be found relaxing enjoying a good western or police drama movie.

He is survived by his wife Eloise of the home; son Craig Mueller; daughter Rochelle Mueller and one grandson Earl Reece Mueller.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Norma and Paul Mueller and sister Leora Becker.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 6, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Newton with The Reverend Kurt Letcher presiding. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday August 5th at Petersen Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in the Tampa Lutheran Cemetery, Tampa, Kansas.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Newton; St. John's Lutheran Church, Tampa or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
