Orville Edwin Winsor

BURNS -- Orville Edwin Winsor, 96, farmer, died Tuesday (Jan. 1, 2002) at his residence in Burns. He was born Feb. 21, 1905, to Wilbur Monroe and Bird Matilda (Hoge) Winsor in rural Morri, Ill. They preceded him in death. He married Myrtle A. Callison March 5, 1933, at First Methodist Parsonage in Wichita. She preceded him in death Sept. 26, 1998. He was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church, the co-op board, the township board and the Burns school board. He enjoyed his grandchildren and watching televised sports.

Survivors include: a son, Orville Earl Winsor of Burns; a daughter, Patricia Winsor of Burns; a sister, Mable I. Molzen of Newton; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p. m. Thursday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p. m. at Petersen Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a. m. Friday at Ebenezer Methodist Church in Burns with the Rev. Steve Hyson officiating.

Burial will be in Ebenezer Church Cemetery.

Memorials have been established with Ebenezer Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
